He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Coughlin (Czajka); his parents, Robert Emmett and Gertrude Coughlin (Wagner); and his siblings, William, Robert, Thomas Coughlin, Anne Riordan (Coughlin) and G. Eunice Martel (Coughlin).
He is survived by: his son Dave; his daughter-in-law Barb Coughlin (Walsh) of Cromwell; his grandchildren, Ben and Dana; his daughter Eileen A. Coughlin of Upton, MA; his granddaughters, Jacqueline, Diana and Monica; his son Dan; his daughter-in-law Victoria Coughlin (Gutierrez) of Torrance, CA; his grandchildren, Cierra and Cambria; and his sister Cora Bindler (Coughlin) of Shelter Island, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
