He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick J. Hastings and Mary Hastings (Freel); his brother Patrick (P. J.) of Beaumont, Texas.; and also Cindy Hastings (La Plante). He is survived by: his children, Erica Porteus, Melissa Maciejewski (Matt) of Durham, CT, Patrick and Michael Hastings, Jr. of Cromwell, CT.; his grandchildren, Owenn, Kayla, Jason and R. J.; his sisters, Elizabeth Hastings (Libby) of Florida and Kathleen Wilkinson (Kevin) of West Boylston, MA; his mother-in-law Phyllis LaPlante (Bill) of Wilbraham, MA; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Hastings, Lori LaPlante of Middletown, CT and Tani LaPlante of Tolland, CT.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
