We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2022, at the age of 85, Sidney H. Ames Sr. (Canterbury, Connecticut), born in Oneco, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn R. Ames (Gelinas) and Howard E. Ames; and his siblings, Harold L. Ames of Brooklyn, Evelyn J. Cheverier of Stafford Springs and Brenda A. Charbonneau of Stafford Springs.
He is survived by: his wife Cecile D. Ames (Privé); his daughter Julia Giuliano (Nicholas Giuliano); his grandchildren, Sebastian and Sydney; his daughter Cheryl Christensen; his granddaughters, Julia and Kara Sykes (Lewis Sykes); his son Sidney H. Ames Jr. (Carleen Ames); and his grandchildren, Rendell (Danielle) and Shayla.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Canterbury Fire Department.
