She was predeceased by: her husband John J. "Jack" Whalen; her parents, Emery Davis and Juliette Davis (Duquette); her daughter Christine; and her brothers, Frederick, Edmund and Grant Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Candace Benoit (Paul) of Delaware, Cheri DeSantis (Bob) of Bristol and John Whalen II (Lena) of East Hampton; her grandchildren, Cara Rojek (Craig), Robbie DeSantis, Vienna, Sage and Brewer Whalen; and her great grandchildren, Stella, Jude Rojek and Dante DeSantis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral and burial will be celebrated privately due to the pandemic.
