He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Johnson (Benedict); his parents, Harry Johnson and Florence Johnson (Lounsbury); and his siblings, Richard, Harry Johnson, Jr. and Caroline Fajnor.
He is survived by: his children, Jeryle Russell (Merritt, Jr.), Deborah Russell of Naugatuck, Alan Johnson, Ronald Johnson of Waterbury and Sharon Russell (Eric) of Bethany; and his brother James Johnson (Judy) of Bethany. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
