It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darleen Mae Hertneky of Yuma, Colorado, born in Burlington, Colorado, who passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ryle Walters and Vera Walters (Johnson); her husband Harry; and her son Harry Jr.. She is survived by: her sister Wilma Vera; her children, Randy Hertneky (Dayla) of Yuma, David Hertneky (Kathy) of Burlington, Cheryl Witt (Matt) of Flagler and George Hertneky (Melissa) of Brush; her grandchildren, Lisa Brown (Tyson), Erin Ross (Ben), Michael Hertneky, Andrew Hertneky (Tracy), Mary Hamilton (John), Brad Hertneky (Lynnette), Tyler Hertneky, Jennifer Martin (Cody), Mindy Reimer (Brian), Kenzie Lowther (Alex), Wyatt Witt (Grace Batchelor), James Hertneky and Joe Hertneky; her sister Wilma Cirbo; and her brother-in-law Kenny Hertneky. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
The past two years, she has been a resident of Grace Manor Care Center, moving in during COVID.
