She is survived by: her daughter Karla Martinez; her stepson Joel Martinez; her sisters, Darla Lane and Lura Zimmerman; her nieces, Erin Lane-Ramirez and Nicole Zimmerman-Burke; her stepgrandchildren, Tristan and Peyton Martinez; and her great-nieces, Tayrin Ramirez and Abigail Burke.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the San Diego Zoo.
