James Riley Duren Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Riley Duren Sr. of Pueblo West, Colorado, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Fern Duren (Harris) and Riley Alonzo Duren; his sister Essie Fern Wright; and his wife Margaret Duren (Gattis). He is survived by: his sons, James R Duren Jr. (Kathryn) of Pueblo West and Robert L Duren (Jody) of Pueblo; his grandchildren, Jamie Rice, Miranda Duren-Trujillo (David), Riley Duren (Serena), Robert Duren Jr. and Kayleigh Warren; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn, Dane Jr., Adrian, Aubrie, Eli, Erin, Ariana, Zyler, Zarek, Zage, Nirvana and Ambrose. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hampton INN & Suites Pueblo North (4790 Eagleridge Cir, Pueblo, CO 81008).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1920 Valley Dr., Pueblo, CO 81008.
