He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria L. Parsons-Gray; his parents, Willie A. Gray and Florence E. Gray (Jarvis); his siblings, John Gray, Mae Christian and Florence Carter; and his stepdaughter Belinda Jones.

He is survived by: his sisters, Fannie Smith of Newport News, VA and Betty Gray of Hampton, VA; his sons, Claude W. Jones, Kaiserslautern, Germany, Dennis R. Jones and Christian A. Jones of Watford, ND; his stepson Tony Buford of Bedford Park, IL; his siblings-in-law, John K. Parsons Sr. of Eagan, MN, Guy N, Deborah B. Parson, Mary E. Parsons of Denver, CO and Cathy Wade of Sycamore, IL; his daughters-in-law, Ulli Jones, Kaiserslautern, Germany, Trudy Jones and Amy Garcia of Watford, ND; his godchildren, Shonette Jackson, Valerie Brown Gill, Nancy Hughes, Cherylann Williams of Aurora, CO and Randall Williams; and his close friend Dora Jones of Cheyenne, WY. He is also survived by 16 Grand Children, 17 Great Grand Children; a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
