It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Otilia Chavez of Las Animas, Colorado, who passed away at the age of 101, on December 29, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Magdaleno Avila and Josefa Avila (Gonzales); her husband John M. Chavez; her brothers, Magdaleno, Marcos, Pedro and Manuel Avila; her half-siblings, Severa, Cruz Avila and Salvador Avila of Mexico; and her son John A. Chavez. She is also survived by five grand kids, six great grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic currently impacting the country at this time, no funeral services will be held at this time.
