He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Gallegos and Cecilia Gallegos (Gonzales); his daughter Sally Gallegos; and his siblings, Johnny Gallegos and Theresa Valdez.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Gallegos; his daughters, Virginia Baker (Jeff), Springs of Colorado and Josie Batten (Joe); and his siblings, Annie Lopez of Belen, Georgia Madrid (Ernie) of Las Lunas, Loraine Maddock (William) of Commerce City and Leo Gallegos (Betty) of Las Animas, Colorado. He is also survived by five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
