He is survived by: his son Brian Covington (Amber) of Swink; his grandchildren, Emma and Daniel Covington; his siblings, Joyce Butler, Ken Covington and Betty Lay' (Mark Waggoner); and his former wife Valerie Covington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
