Irene Virginia Arfsten Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Virginia Arfsten of Larkspur, Colorado, born in Sedalia, Colorado, who passed away on October 30, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Goldie Hessler (Benson) and Charles Hessler; her husband Robert Arfsten (Bob); her children, Richard, Peggy Watson, Patricia Toohey (John), Ruth Ann Arfsten, Robert Arfsten (Bonnie) and Patrick Arfsten (Brenda); her grandchildren, Ronald Haynes (Kim), Justin Haynes, Darann Held (Bob), Erin Toohey, Dayna McDermott (Jesse), Sara Paice (Colton), Stephanie Vetch, Francis, Ginger Hemmah and Amber Chasteen; her great grandchildren, Jeslyn, Mckinsey, Wild, Isaiah, Elias, Aiden, Jax, Kaylee, Addison Irene, Bryant, Jennifer, Peyton and Camden; and her siblings, Charlene Scott, Shirley Burris (Fred) and Charles Hessler (Joan). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In honor of Irene's love for nature and the many walks, hikes and drives to look at wildlife, donations in her memory can be made to Douglas County, c/o Open Space & Natural Resources, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104, or to Wet Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation, 743 Crestview Drive, Florence, CO 81226 (proceeds will be sent to the Larkspur Wildlife Rehabilitation Center).
