He was predeceased by: his parents, Delfino Montoya and Amalia Montoya; his siblings, Roy Montoya, Perfecta Olivas, Corina Mora and Ruben Montoya; his son Frank Montoya; and his grandsons, David Allen Smith and Nathan John Montoya.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred; and his children, John (Vickie), Linda (Roger), Sharon (Dave) and Theodore Lino (Gina). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 1 sister and several nephews and nieces.
