He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Estherbelle Potter and Lester Charles Potter; his sisters, Carol and Coralie; and his granddaughter Mariah Nash.
He is survived by: his pet Penny; his wife Patricia Kay Starr Potter; and his children, Ronald "Rick" Erick Potter (Larina) of Casper, Roxanne Michele Huggins (Mitch) of Sargent Nebraska and Robin Renae Nash (Rich) of Fort Collins. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Casper First Church of the Nazarene Manna Closet.
