It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frederick Max Stein of Fort Collins, Colorado, born in Wyaconda, Missouri, who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Friedrich Stein and Viola Stein; his wife Judith Peterson; and his siblings, George Stein, Odetta Allender, Eileen Clark and Rex Stein.

He is survived by: his children, Karen Smoot (Steve) and Kenneth Stein (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Smoot (Took), Ryan Smoot (Christina), Brooke Vander Stoep (Jeff), Wengen and Danielle Stein-St. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
