She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Peterson and Goldie Peterson; her grandparents, Albert, Bertha Eagles, Joe and Anna Peterson; and her nephew Greg Peterson.

She is survived by: her husband Mike Prentice; her son Warren Rytting (Malisa); her grandsons, Zach and Sam; her son Joe Rytting (Maria); her grandchildren, Hayden, Mason and Chase; her daughter Jennifer Aderinto (Phil); her grandchildren, Miki and Landen; her stepdaughter Anjanette (Devin); her stepgrandsons, Brandon and Dylan; her stepdaughters, Dayna Tremain and Denise Martinez; her brother Ronald Peterson (Judy); her daughter Heather; her extended family, Kristen and Alycia; and also Darlene Miller. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Carolyn's family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Hospice Del Valle or a non-profit of your choice.
