It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Medina of Alamosa, Colorado, born in Capulin, Colorado, who passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan E. Medina and Isabel Mondragon Medina; his wife Mary Julia Martinez; his daughter Jackie Ann Chavez; his siblings, William Medina (Corine), Leroy Medina (Francis), Elvinia Medina and Jimmy Mondragon; and his parents-in-law, Tony Martinez (Socorro), Benita Mondragon (Orlando), Mary Rodriguez, Anita Luna (William) and Jose Martinez.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Janice Pablo of Alamosa; his children, Peggy Gallegos (Mark) of Alamosa, Ernie Medina of Alamosa, Isabelle Sabala (Vulmaro) of Monte Vista, CO and Yvette Quintana (Chris) of Capulin, CO; his son-in-law Aron Chavez, Sr. of Alamosa; his sisters, Angie Salinas of Pueblo, CO and Carol Mondragon of Colorado Springs, CO; and his brother-in-law Paul Rodriguez of Alamosa, CO. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
