He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Peter Trampus and Katie Kirchner Trampus; his former wife Delores Knuutila Trampus; his wife Lillian Yvonne Horne Trampus; and his sister Helen Catherine Monfalcone.
He is survived by: his son Jerry William Trampus (Kyle); his granddaughter Nicole Compton; his great grandchildren, Kyler, Phoenix and Cali; his daughter Kathy Sue Stark; his grandchildren, Randy Stark, James Stark, Shelley Jones and Jeffrey Stark; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Carter, Liam, Macie, Carson, Tanner, Harper Grace, Dylan, Gabriel and Audrina; his son Stephen Robert Trampus; his cousin Norma Houck; and his stepchildren, Paul Read and Michelle.
Later in life, Joe moved to Yucaipa in 2014 to live with his daughter, Kathy until additional medical care was needed for his Alzheimer's disease and physical health, and he was moved into memory care.
