He was predeceased by: his parents, Amar Singh and Harnam Kaur Chohan; and his brother Kundan Singh Chohan. He is survived by: his wife Darshan Kaur; his children, Harjinder Singh (Harprit Kaur), Harsbinder Singh (Jasbir Kaur), Sarbjit Singh Harbinder Chohan (Kuldip Kaur) and Preetpaul Kaur Benipal (Amarjeet Singh); and his siblings, Iqbal Singh, Makhan Singh, Sulkhan Singh Chohan, Basant Kaur Shoker and Surinder Kaur Randhawa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
