She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Cervantes and Benjamin Cervantes; her grandparents, Saturnino, Consuelo Cervantes and Hortencia Paramo; and her granddaughter Alyssa Torres.
She is survived by: her husband Enrique Pizano; her children, Melissa Torres (Luis) of Ventura, Tanya Marquez (Andrew) of Oxnard and Ricky Pizano (Christina) of Ventura; her siblings, Benjamin Cervantes (Denise), Anna Cervantes, Steve Cervantes, Roberta Barton and Lisa Runyan (Mike); and her grandchildren, Justin Allen Jr. (Marquez), Lily, Arlo Torres, Gianna Marquez and Olivia Pizano. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barbara presided as president and received numerous awards for volunteering her time to charity.
