He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gertrude, Lois, Constance, Marian and John.

He is survived by: his brother Louis Arata, Jr.; his grandchildren, Wes, Connie, Ryan, Ali, Emma, Haley, Grace and Jesse; and his great grandchildren, Jordan and Oliver.
