It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lou Fortin (Ukiah, California), born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Joan Jertberg; his siblings, Jackie and Mike (Linda); his sons, Steve, Marc and David; his daughters-in-law, Sandy, Cecilia and Kathryn; and his grandchildren, Dash, Annalise, Michelle, Alexander, Heather, Holly Fortin and Hannah Moon (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Ukiah Hospice and/or the Alzheimer's Association, in honor of Lou's commitment to education and community.
