He was predeceased by: his brothers, Frank and Bobby Brodie. He is survived by: his wife Marie Bertozzi; his children, Mark Brodie (Chania) and Dana Franz (Ron); his siblings, Shirley Fowler, Gloria Bath, Pat Jewett (Barry), Diana Tandeske (Duane), Linda Roman (Don) and David Brodie (Ellie); and his grandchildren, Alex, Brianna Brodie, Tyler, Connor and Parker Franz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Redwood Valley/Calpella Fire Department.
