She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Fairbairn (Bob); her parents-in-law, C. O. and Frances Fairbairn; her parents, Albert Ames and Evelyn Ames; and her sister Yvonne Decker.

She is survived by: her children, Wes (Jan Fairbairn) and Katie Fairbairn; her grandchildren, Amanda Phillips (Jarrod Morgan), Becky, Jacob Lawson and Sara Fairbairn (Chris Mangino); her great grandchildren, Clayton, Calvin Lawson and Nellie Mangino; her brother Albert Ames (Cheryl); her niece Nancy Moak (Mike); her nephew Mark DeMatteo (Sandra); her cousin Wilma Leather (Joe); and her friend Ramona Abert.
