He is survived by: his spouse Merle "Billie" Carpenter Freeburg; his grandchildren, Christian Freeburg, Ruth Rutherford and Lara Kees; and his sister Elizabeth Collins. He is also survived by his children and one sister, he leaves behind two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
