He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Sr. Ruiz and Jane Ruiz (Bejarano); his sons, Baby Jacob and Ronnie Ruiz; and his siblings, Sylvia Ruiz and Mark Ruiz.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Ruiz (Rascon) of Hobbs; his daughter Esther Restrepo (Robert); his granddaughters, Erica, Sophia and Gabriella; and his siblings, Elias Ruiz, Patsey Cuellar, Rita Silva, Ada Mathews and Beverly Silva (Mario).
