He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hernandez (Hinojos); his children, Sonjia Torres (John), Sylvia Roberts and Richard Hernandez (Noemi); his grandchildren, Kristina Wyckoff (Stephen), Vince Torres, Victoria Torres, Rhys Enloe, Michael Roberts, Richard "Mighty" Hernandez, Bridgett Flores, Emma, Emiliano Hernandez, Tessa Hernandez, Randi Hernandez, Ashlie Campos, Meranda Hernandez and Lisa Saldivar; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Daisy of Isabella Sunday, JD and Logan; his siblings, Manuela Saldana of Carlsbad, NM, Nicasia Ruiz of Goshen, Bessie Florez of Goshen, Rosemary Hernandez of Phoenix, AZ, Sisto Hernandez of Odessa, TX and Armando Hernandez of Visalia; and his sisters-in-law, Lucy Fierro of Tulare and Amelia Aguirre of Visalia.
