He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Bertha Barrientos; and his children, Jose "Pepe" Valencia (late Ofelia), Dionicio Valencia (Rosa), Daniel Valencia (Carmen), Ana Arellano (Dario), Javier Valencia (Elvira), George Valencia (Laurie) and Betty Reyes (Oscar). He was also cherished by 17 grand-children, 19 great-grand-children and 2 great-grand-children.
