With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vida Lu Cathey of Sonora, California, born in Santa Maria, California, who passed away on October 27, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Craig Cathey; and her great grandchild Cash Jackson Durao. She is survived by: her daughters, Danell McCleary (Stacy) and Michell Durao; her grandchildren, Janell Morris (Chris), Nicole Woodman (Forry), Craig Durao (Lindsey), Brian McCleary (Rebecca) and Joell Beasley (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Craig Jr., Wesley, Fulton, Cayley, Hannah, Chace, Levi, Avery and Caleb.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Refuge Children's Ministries.
