He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacinto Mata and Maria Santos Gallardo; and his wife Ines Mata. He is survived by: his daughters, Virginia, Maria, Ines, Margarita, Juana, Guadalupe and Esperanza. He is also survived by his 7 daughters, 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He organized fundraising events and kindly requested donations from his hometown friends.
