He is survived by: his parents, William Edward Chappelear and Sophie Véniel; his sister Emily "Mimi" Chappelear; and his grandparents, Charles Véniel of France, Edward and Mary Anne Chappelear. He is also survived by four uncles, one aunt, and many cousins.
