She was predeceased by: her parents, George Olortegui Rojas and Mary Erazmina Olortegui Martin; and her sister Adela. She is survived by: her sibling Peru; her husband Michael Szeles; her stepchildren, Nikki Pendergraft (Adam), Cliff Roberts, Theresa Lee, Kristina Salciccia (Toby), Christopher Szeles (Ursula), Steven Szeles (Melena), Matthew Szeles (Vivian) and Kimberly Laddy (Michael); and her siblings, Grace Blacquiere (Kevin), Ruth Pomareda Rogers (Charles) and George Olortegui. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Santa Cruz Elks Lodge to help fund a memorial bronze Elk statue in Mary's name.
