He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Bruce Cowan and Marjorie Duncan Cowan; his daughter Jesse Ann Cowan; his grandchildren, Christine Bachar and Abraham Bachar; his wife Sarah Haynes Cowan; his sister Patricia Thompson; his sister-in-law Elva Cowan; and also Erick Leedberg. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
