Ben M. Bynes Obituary

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Katherine McCleary and Joseph Bynes Jr.; his grandparents, Jessie Mae, Joseph Bynes Sr. of Swainsboro, GA, Blanche and John McCleary of Baltimore, MD.; his stepsisters, Michelle and Cheyenne; his wife Santa Cruz; his uncles, Hubert and Lavern; his close friend Liz Patterson; his stepfather Daniel Wenger; his children, Chloe Kersten (Justin), Bennett Bynes and Bella Mae Bynes; his grandchildren, Averitt and Vivienne Kersten; and his siblings, Joey, Valerie, Pamela, Robyn, Michelle, Cheyenne, Sheila, Ezra, Michael and Jeremy. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, his firefighter family and numerous friends.

In his 24 years with SCFD, Ben's contributions to the community included not only his long tenure as an engineer but also as a paramedic, rescue swimmer, and PWC and Fireboat operator.
