She was predeceased by: her parents, Waldemar "Wally" Freis and Helen Freis (Welch); her sister Lori Freis; her brothers-in-law, Bert Zylstra, David Schnur and Keith Vanden Avond; her great-nephew Leonidas; and also, William and Dorothy.

She is survived by: her husband Prince Lawsha; her siblings, Mary Ann Schnur, Kathryn Gahl, Bill Freis (Judy Wolf), Jon Freis, Lisa Vanden Avond and Tom Freis (Janis) of Wisconsin; and also, Willette Lawsha, Wade Lawsha, Gloria Lawsha Smith (Charles) and Stevie Lawsha of Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
