It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stamatis Karastamatis of San Carlos, California, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dimitri Karastamatis and Maria Karastamatis; his siblings, Marino Karastamatis (Marigoula) of Andros Greece, Pantelis Karastamatis (Marika) of WIlmette and John Karastamatis (Presbytera Anastasia) of San Carlos, CA.; and his wife Sophia Karastamatis (Costuros).

He is survived by: his sons, Michael and Dimitri Karastamatis; his stepdaughter Theria Mermiges; his grandchildren, Maria Karastamatis, Sophia Argentari (John), Dimitri Karastamatis (Amanda) and Markos Tanner; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Giovanni, Gianni, Gabriel and Aaliyah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
