He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Marjorie Szwabowski; and his parents, Julius Stanley Szwabowski and Ludwika Polak (Leslie) of Polish. He is survived by: his wife Beatriz Szwabowski; his children, Bernadette Harding, Elizabeth Ann Szwabowski, Dean Szwabowski, Christine Jackson, Eddie Szwabowski and Manasseh Julius Szwabowski; his children-in-law, Suzanne Szwabowski, Barbara Szwabowski, Steven Harding, Rick Alston and Bryant Jackson; and his brother Ray Szwabowski. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
