He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Gartside and Elizabeth Gartside (Dunaway); and his siblings, Sallie Wolfe (Gartside), Clinton and James Calloway.
He is survived by: his brother Jerry Gartside (Carol); his brother-in-law John A Wolfe; and his stepdaughter Josie Coleman (Mike). He is also survived by grandkids and great grandkids along with a host of nephews, nieces and lifelong friends.
