He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hill and Lois Atkinson Hill; and his siblings, Jerry and Marilyn Fulkerson. He is survived by: his wife Faye; and his children, Nancy Lawrence (Richard), Julie Heath (Kevin), David Hill (Luz), Mark Hill (Michele) and Jim Gordon (Julie). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
