He was loved and cherished by many people including: his family Ranch; his parents, Katheryn Barrett and Martin Barrett; his son Douglas Cryer; his wife Roberta Barrett; and his daughters, Deborah Barrett and Angela Atwell. He was also cherished by 15 grand children, and 27 great grandchildren.
