He is survived by: his siblings, Karen Borzini (Dale), Bob Merkle, Kathryn "Tina" Machak (Rick), Jose Merkle (Carmen) and Sandra Nicolay (Philippe); his nieces and nephews, Denise, Doug, Taryn Borzini, Andrea (Mark), Collin, Quinn Lopez-Villanueva, Lindsey Merkle, Leslie Merkle, Ophelia, Victor Aracely, Amanda, Alberto, Elsie, Martin, Guadalupe, Caesar Delia, Joane Merkle and Diana Merkle; his goddaughter Elizabeth Nicolay; his niece Alexandra Nicolay; and his pet Jack.
