She was predeceased by: her parents, John William and Elizabeth Loretta Cunningham (Wolf); her brother Alan; and also Susan. She is survived by: her husband Van Wolverton; her son Bill of Aptos; her grandchildren, Christopher and Drew; her daughter Kay of Camarillo; her grandchildren, Jack, Toshiro and Calvin; her son Andrew of San José, California; her brothers, Glenn and Steve; and her sisters-in-law, Rhonda and Connie.
She was employed for several years as Western Director of the New York City-based Steele-Reese Foundation, which makes grants to rural and Native-led organizations in Idaho and Montana and Appalachian Kentucky.
