He was predeceased by: his children, Rafael and Alicia; and his great grandchild Aspen. He is survived by: his wife Maria Anaya; his pet Pulga; and his children, Salvador, Roberto Jr. of Newman, Consuelo of Salinas, Albertina of Patterson, Lupe and Josie of Newman. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
His compassion for others was evident in his financial generosity in helping family and friends and consistent contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
