With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mamie Bland Todd (Monterey, California), who passed away on April 8, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her daughter Ann Frederica Todd Jealous; her son-in-law Fred Jealous; her granddaughter Lara Jealous; her grandson-in-law Ira Feldman (Ike); her great grandchild Nina; her grandson Benjamin Todd Jealous; and her great grandchildren, Morgan and Jackson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

It was the first for "colored children" in the county and had been built on land donated by her grandfather.
