He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon F. Buzzard and Dorothy C. Buzzard (Linda J. Buzzard); his brothers, John C. Buzzard and Robert H. Buzzard; his son Richard A. Buzzard, Jr.; and his grandson Jordan W. Oehlert.

He is survived by: his brothers, Donald G. Buzzard and Ronald W. Buzzard; and his daughter Sandra Buzzard (Mike) of Portland, OR. He is also survived by granddaughter, and two great grandchildren.

He would attend every Los Banos High School (Tigers) football game until COVID hit.
