It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Holloway Velthoen of Modesto, California, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henry Eisenhut and Elizabeth Margarethe Dorothee Beckmann; her husband John Velthoen; her former husband George Holloway; and her siblings, George Eisenhut, Dorothy Petersen, Henry Eisenhut, Agnes Mader, Margaret Tanner and Irene Spengler.
She is survived by: her children, Shelby Leigh Greenlow (Michael) of Sacramento, CA and Charles William Holloway (Loretta) of Sheridan, WY.; her grandchildren, Bradley Holloway (Elizabeth), Tyler Holloway, Eve Greenlow and Grant Greenlow; her great grandchildren, Emma Holloway and James Holloway; and her stepchildren, Brian Velthoen, Barry Velthoen (Robin), Bruce Velthoen and Anne Keathley (Allen). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Salida (4825 Broadway Ave, Salida, CA 95368).
In place of flowers, contributions may be made in Florence's memory to the First Congregational Church of Salida or the Community Hospice and Health Services of Modesto.
