She was predeceased by: her mother Lorna May Dixon; and her brother Ross Thomas Jr. of Australia. She is survived by: her husband Allan James of Modesto; her children, Jennifer Heckathorn (Edwards) of Modesto and Anthony Edwards of Modesto; her brothers, Terry Seach (Ann Seach) and Gary Seach of Port McQuarry; her grandsons, Kevin Heckathorn (Katey Heckathorn) of Modesto and Randal Heckathorn; and her stepchildren, Mark James, Mike James and Michele James.
In lieu of flowers, at Edith's request, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in her name.
