It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Cooksey of Lompoc, California, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude C. Cooksey and Selma Venable; his brother Allan Gordon; his daughters, Kathryn "Kathy" Cooksey and Kathy Cooksey Troop; and his brother Van Blankenship (Sandy).
He is survived by: his wife Jan Sorum; his sons, Jack Cooksey (Cheryl), George Sorum (Frances), Mark Sorum (Lela), Paul Sorum (Tanya) and Doug Sorum (Brittany); and his brothers, John (Becky), Bud (Debbie) and Bill Blankenship (Kitty). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church (2800 Harris Grade Rd, Lompoc, CA 93436).
