He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Serna Sr. and Gerania "Hedy" Serna. He is survived by: his children, Maya Serna, Shoshana Serna and Che Serna; the parent of his children Gail Serna; and his siblings, Maria Elena Serna and Jesse Serna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
